Our client based in Green Point requires your experience to manage their company and their subsidiaries financial portfolios. Must be bilingual in English and Afrikaans with excellent communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, an individual who can ensure all functions are executed to a high standard. REQUIREMENTS Matric, BCom financial degree Completed SAIPA / SAICA articles with 4 years post article experience Strong Excel skills Sage Evolution experience Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans Analytical with excellent attention to detail Team player with excellent problem solving skills Independent worker, proactive, and eager to learn DUTIES Managing the full financial function reporting to the Director Managing variances and providing reasons with monthly management reports Compilation of monthly management reports for all subsidiaries. Maintain monthly compliance in all tax aspects (EMP, VAT, IT submissions) Review the monthly payroll for all stores. Review the journals, reconciliations and management reports compiled by the junior financial accountant. Review monthly and weekly payments to suppliers. Manage and liaise with the auditors on the yearly audit for the main company and subsidiaries. Assist with the preparation of the yearly budget. Monthly preparation and submission of VAT. Raise accruals monthly. Recommend methods and strategies for cutting cost and improving financial controls. Assist with ad-hoc projects as required by the financial manager or Operations department.
