There are multiple business interests in the clients' portfolio which consists of several South African and offshore entities. The portfolio includes property owning entities, start-up enterprises as well as trusts and is managed by a small team. The ideal candidate for this role is a professional accountant with at least 5-10 years post articles experience and strong technical skills. Although not a traditional corporate environment, the working environment is professional; deadline driven and outcomes focused. Core values centre around communication and acheiveing outcomes. Ensure that accounts are audit ready every month. Review accounting data capture, creditors recons & payments. Individual balance sheet recons & account packs (there are about 30 packs the team preps) Consolidated management accounts preparation Facilitate annual audits & AFS. Supplementary financial reporting for shareholders Investment analysis & tracking Monthly statutory return submissions Attend to SARS reviews on VAT and PAYE submissions. Facilitate information required for SARS audits on income tax. Income tax computations to send to tax practitioners (Company, Trusts, Individual taxation) B Com Honours or similar finance degree, completed Articles. 5-10 years post articles experience Advanced excel – formulas. Some experience with tax. Problem solver who is mature and stable. Strong communicator, analytical with good commercial acumen. Technically minded and process driven. Organised with good time management and ability to lead a team of two direct reports.
