An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department. This role focuses on the reporting and compliance function of the financial department. The Senior Financial Controller must have a combination of financial expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking abilities to be successful in their role. Responsibilities and Duties Oversee and manage the finance department, reporting directly to the Head of Finance Will be responsible for the full finance function Compile advanced Reports: Cashflow, management packs and reports, budget and forecasting reports Prepare and oversee bi-annual Audits Prepare and submit PAYE, VAT and provisional tax Understanding of an environment with inventory and manufacturing Monitoring of inventory movement and transactions Understanding and implementation of accounting transactions to AFS level Review and maintain internal controls with regard to financial risk management BBBEE calculations and cost monitoring ensuring compliance within the monthly reporting framework as a whole Financial Analysis and communicating financial data in a clear and concise manner. Identify, assess, and manage financial risks that could impact the organization. Managing and preventing financial risk. Assist with BBBEE Audits See to Financial compliance. Skills and Experience Bcom Accounting/Finance Degree 3 years experience in a management role Knowledge of IFRS Deadline Driven is essential Attention to detail is essential Advanced Excel skills are essential Advanced Accounting understanding and capabilities, be able to develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall goals of the company Financial Analysis, this includes understanding financial statements, financial ratios, and other key financial metrics Familiar with relevant laws and regulations that impact financial operations and must ensure that the organization is compliant with these regulations Must have a good understanding of the full accounting cycle Must have professional reporting and presentation writing skills Must work well in a team as well as independently Must have good communication skills and telephone etiquette Must be able to attend to matters urgently when required Experience on Xero and/or DEAR Inventory will be advantageous Apply Now
