Reference: NFP013934-Bri-1Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a knack for meticulous financial management and strategic oversight?This insurer is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant with either SAIPA or SAICA articles to join a growing team. Responsibilities: Lead the consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial reports and analysis. Collaborate with finance teams across various departments to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and development. Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making at the executive level. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Evaluate and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline Successfully finished SAIPA or SAICA articles Firm grasp of accounting principles and regulations Competent in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Meticulous attention to detail and capability to work autonomously If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
