Our client, a growing online travel business is currently expanding!
The People Operations Specialist is working closely with the Head of People in the Cape Town office.
This individual will assist in building a world-class people operations function.
As a People Operations Specialist, one would be responsible for the day-to-day people operations tasks and efficiencies, this includes onboarding, off-boarding and all the touch various HR matters.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Be the first point of contact for all employee inquiries and requests, providing exceptional support through various channels.
- Consistently and seamlessly execute day-to-day people operations tasks, including but not limited to contract management, pay roll, benefits, leave administration etc.
- Coordinate onboarding processes and programs, and play an active role in initiating scolab i.e changes and improvements to drive a world-class onboarding programme.
- Maintain precise records and manage people data to ensure compliance with regulations and minimise risk, this includes tasks related to Employment Equity, WSP/ ATR, and other people compliance matters.
- Contribute to the development of people policies/g guidelines and procedures thot will aid performance, help the business scale and maintain the Tripco culture.
- Assist in managing employee relations issues in accordance with labour law and Tripco guidelines.
- Support recruitment efforts by coordinating full-cycle recruitment activities, this may include assisting with sourcing, screening, coordinating interview processes, reference checks and offer management as needed.
- Coordinate training and development prog rams and take care of the day-to-day management of the associated processes.
- Assist in executing employee wellness initiatives and contribute to people event planning and coordination.
- Identify and drive process improvements (onboarding, performance review systems, feedback loops, training, etc.) thot keep the employee experience and teams' mission at the fore.
- Analyse data and key insights from people operations and organisational development processes, to inform decision making and enhance the employee experience.
Minimum skills and requirements:
- Degree Organisational Psychology is preferred or Diploma in Resource Management
- 3-4 Years relevant working experience in HR/People Administrator within the Tech/Online industry
- Experience using and HRIS System such as Bamboo HR
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Slack
- Great understanding of South African Labour Law and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with employee engagement research, performance management systems and training and development
- Ability to manage multiple and constantly shifting priorities
