Their primary objective lies in enacting sustainable, positive impact across Africa. As an experienced Sustainability Impact Officer , your expertise lies in smashing sustainability targets and regulatory goals out of the park. You are able to effectively develop impact strategies , manage, measure, and communicate the impact of a portfolio of funds, providing strategic insight on how funds may achieve greater impact. A highly analytical and results-driven professional, you have found your niche in the impact investment sphere. Throughout your career, you have gained an embedded understanding of the European climate-related guidelines including EU taxonomy, SDFR, 2X, and TCFD. In addition to this, you are able to accurately report on climate-related targets and GHG emissions at both a company and portfolio level. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop a custom impact investing strategy in alignment with Operating Principles for Impact Management (OPIM) and frameworks such as GIIN IRIS, HIPSO, EU Taxonomy, and SDFR (PAI) Continuously improve the impact strategy by staying updated on impact trends and innovations Implement digital tools for collecting qualitative and quantitative data from portfolio companies and stakeholders Collect, analyse, and update the impact master sheet with comprehensive data on financial, climate, energy, environmental, and social performance metrics for all funds and portfolio companies on an annual basis Provide detailed impact performance metrics to investors, including financial, climate, energy, environmental, and social data Manage investor relations and complete impact reporting spreadsheets, templates, surveys, and ad hoc requests Create an integrated annual impact report showing group and fund-level performance Collaborate with digital engineers to update the website and showcase the organization's impact Collaborate with partners, HR, and digital teams to improve impact branding and marketing strategies Ensure clear and transparent impact disclosures that demonstrate a commitment to net positive impact Research and assess the feasibility of impact measurement software and platforms like Worldfavor for effective data collection Conduct benchmark assessments to compare impact performance against industry standards and SDG targets Curate compelling investment narratives based on performance metrics and success stories Create engaging content for social media and the website, working with digital teams and HR to manage updates and resource centres for impact reporting SKILLS Highly analytical – you love working with data Impact investing and reporting skills Strong presentation skills Did we mention data? - Data modelling, analysis, science, extraction, and management Excellent interpersonal and communication skill Proficient in French or Portugues highly advantageous EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or sustainability field EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Working knowledge of the impact investment sector Excellent understanding of fund-level technical criteria and ESG management systems Experience in sub-Saharan African markets highly advantageous R850k - R1mil CTC per annum Apply Now
