The Senior Internal Auditor role,plays a key role in the Group Audit team. Reporting to the Chief Audit Executive, the position is pivotal in developing and executing audit plans, actively participating in internal audits, and contributing to risk assessments. Key Responsibilities: - Planning: Conduct open client meetings, understand business processes, and identify inherent risks and controls. - Fieldwork: Develop risk-based testing plans, conduct audit tests, evaluate process design and controls, propose recommendations, and participate in closing meetings. - Reporting: Assist in preparing informative audit reports for communication to the department and senior management. Additional Responsibilities: - Support the development of the Internal Audit methodology. - Safeguard corporate assets through effective internal controls. - Provide advisory services, participate in projects, and offer value-added recommendations. - Develop and maintain professional relationships within the organization. - Conduct investigations of suspected internal fraud. - Provide consultative support for risk management processes. - Assist external auditors with annual financial reporting audit testing. Qualifications and Experience: - BCom Degree or equivalent. - Professional designation in Accounting or Internal Auditing (CA, CISA, CFE, or CIA). - 8 to 9 years of experience in a similar role. - Solid understanding of risk and control concepts. - Knowledge of COSO Risk and Internal Control framework is an asset. - Working knowledge of professional IIA performance standards. - Good understanding of accounting principles. - Well-developed technical skills in Word and Excel. Skills and Attributes: - Good interpersonal skills with effective communication abilities. - Unquestioned personal integrity with strong ethical values. - Strong analytical capability. - Ability to stand firm on difficult issues when required. - Capable of working independently and within a team. - Logical approach to identifying and evaluating issues. - Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments. - Displays awareness of the need for confidentiality in sensitive matters. - Commitment to self-development and expansion of knowledge.
