Senior Java Developer - - South Africa

My client is creating an e-commerce ecosystem – a space where entrepreneurs can grow when they’re given the tools and services they need to succeed online. They are looking for a Senior Java Developer that could be the next Java Tech lead for the Group. They use standard Agile processes such as Kanban to streamline our development processes. We use predominantly AWS infrastructure where possible. We have a test-driven development environment using tools like Scrutinizer, New Relic, Github, and Slack. Programming languages (Java for backend, HTML and javascript, css (scss) for frontend) Frameworks - Bootstrap and jquery libraries, jsp servlets. May start introducing React front end in some places in the future. Database - postgreSQL Aurora Web server - Apache Tomcat Build - gulp, ant, and maven on microservices git - gitlab What you need to bring to the table; Analytical skills: A good software developer should have sharp analytical skills. Analytical skills will help break up a complex software system into smaller units to gain a better understanding. Creative and efficient problem solver: A good software developer must have the ability to conceptualize and solve complex problems.
