Graduate in Chemical / Metallurgical Engineering, with relevant hydrometallurgical and/or pyrometallurgical experience Sound knowledge of and experience in unit operations specific to PGM smelting and/or refining as well as gas handling and cleaning Previous experience in sampling and metal accounting Experience in Mine Health and Safety legislation and Government legislation applicable to the mining industry Training in Employee Relations, Supervisor Management, Finance for Non-Financial Managers and computerized maintenance systems Knowledge of research methodologies Planning, Organizing, Commercial awareness & Attention to detail skills Analysis and interpretation of data to assist with problem solving Knowledge of Organizational and Departmental Policies, Codes of Practices, Standards, Rules and Procedures Effective communicator, Creativity, Independence and a team player " Provide an effective diagnostic, troubleshooting, optimization and project management service to the Smelter and BMR Technical assistance to ensure attainment of Smelter and BMR process efficiency targets and production targets as defined in the business plan Assist in creating and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees Prepare and present reports on project and production related information Monitor plant performance and identify solutions to production problems Manage capital projects to budget, schedule and achievement of objectives Lead and mentor metallurgists and interns Must be willing and competent to relieve in a production environment and to assist in the event of production related problems escalated after normal working hours Apply Now
