Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Network Engineer and VoIP Specialist located in George. The Senior Network Engineer and VoIP Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of our communications networks and systems. This position will work closely with our clients to ensure that their communication needs are met through our leading-edge technologies and solutions, and will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and provide customized solutions.The Senior Network Engineer will oversee the workflow involved in maintaining the organisation’s enterprise networkThey will be responsible for designing and implementing the company’s network infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues· Qualifications· Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field· 5 years of experience in network engineering, VoIP systems, and network protocols· Expertise in routing & switching, network security, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VPN, VLAN, and QoS· Strong experience in SIP, RTP, and other VoIP protocols· Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and MikroTik network equipment· Experience with Linux, network monitoring tools, and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Shell, etc.)· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with both technical and non-technical audiences· Fortinet Firewalls· Familiarity with access control models and network security.· Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools· Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
