As Senior Payroll Manager, you are responsible for ensuring payroll is correctly processed and employees paid timeously, and that the payroll team are accomplishing their tasks efficiently ensuring you assist your team wherever they require as well as the business needs. Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions and benefits. Processing of payroll for all staff in payroll system. Preparing payroll reports, including filing and loading of tax returns. Collaboration with the human resources and finance departments to seamlessly integrate payroll and employee data. Processing of changes in the payroll system to ensure accuracy. Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately. Addressing pay queries and concerns related to payroll and providing exceptional customer service and support. Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information. Staying updated on payroll regulations ensuring compliance and best practices at all times. Perform leave provision calculations. Managing a payroll team ensuring tasks are performed effectively and efficiently. Processing of payroll and headcount journals on accounting system and ensuring accuracy thereof. Ensure accurate and timely payment to employees. Ensure accurate and timely payment of all payroll taxes Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits System Knowledge: Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional IEX Filing of EMP returns of SARS system Netcash Required skills and qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources or a related field. 3 years of experience in payroll management or a similar accounting role. In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, labour laws, taxation. Experience in handling payroll audits. Proficiency in payroll software and systems. Excellent understanding of financial principles and the ability to reconcile payroll with financial records. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex payroll calculation data. Good organisational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation. High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
