A leading omni-channel retailer is recruiting for a Senior Product Owner: Merchandise to represent key business areas in evaluating, prioritizing, and implementing technology projects in line with strategic objectives. Position: Senior Product Owner: Merchandise Salary: Market Related Location: Southern Suburbs Here's what you can expect to be doing in the role Represent key business areas in evaluating, prioritizing, and implementing technology projects in line with strategic objectives Define product vision, road-map and growth that support the Merchandise Strategy Supports the Merchandise strategy to maximize profitability by identifying inefficient processes and solutions, optimizing these processes and designing business solutions Forms integral part of the Supply Chain focusing on Merchandise Planning (Product and Inbound), Buying and Product Quality Management through strong cross-functional partnership between several Homechoice Business Units (Merchandising, Ecommerce, Marketing and Logistics). Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those projects with maximum value and alignment with product strategy Work closely with your stakeholders and the fellow Product team to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product Follow our competitors and the industry Providing vision and direction to the agile development team and stakeholders Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends A little about who you are Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field OR a degree in business but, provide experience of making the transition to Technology CSPO qualification advantageous Minimum of 5 years' working experience as a Product Owner In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles Retail, FinTech and/or Financial Services experience will be advantageous Benefits Flexible benefits to structure your own package Creative agile work environment Flexible working hours Café and lounge area Staff restaurant with a variety of healthy meal options
