Senior Production Planner - - Port Elizabeth

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, assertive and analytical thinker to take up the Senior Production Planner position that will assist the Materials Planning and Logistics Manager with the various planning and continuous improvement duties.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Day-to-day Production Planning and input into MRP System
Plan and schedule workflow for all departments
Analyse production specification and plant capacity
Preparation of production reports
Monitor production plan execution and track production performances
Assist in continuous improvement projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

National Diploma or B-Tech in Logistics/Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required.
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies advantageous

WORK EXPERIENCE:

5 - 6 years automotive experience is essential
MRP system experience is essential
Production planning knowledge would be advantageous
Good understanding of ISO 9001,14001 and IATF 16949 elements
Ability to apply problem solving techniques
Must be assertive and a good communicator with excellent follow through and precision reporting capabilities
