As the Senior Quanity Surveyor, you will be responsible for revenue management, cost allocations and sub-contractor payments. This role requires a strong analytical and numerical accuracy. Contract Start-Up Opening the contract account in accordance with company procedures; Review contract documentation; Attend to project meetings; Co-ordinate and finalize negotiations on contractual commitments and agreements; Co-ordinate and finalize contract payment cycles; Arrange all necessary contract guarantees; Assist subcontractor's with take-on processes; Sub-contractor appointments and finalization of sub-contractor agreements. Construction Phase: Main Contract Management Monitor and update the ongoing project insurance and guarantee requirements; Establish site specific requirements for monitoring and capturing of variations; Sequence checking to be done continuously for the contract duration to ensure all deliveries are issued accurately and correctly; Manage the preparation of monthly payment applications in accordance with the agreed contract payment cycle; Submit payment applications; Ensure payment application are done accurately; Reconcile payment certificates; Ensure invoices are generated and submitted timeously; Monitor and manage the accuracy of the payment accounts for the contract life cyle; Monitor accounts to ensure timeous payments are received in accordance with the agreed payment cycle; Follow up on payment for all overdue accounts, in accordance with the contractual requirements; Ensure that all payment queries are dealt with timeously and efficiently; Ensure that site visits are conducted regularly; Co-ordinate and expedite the preparation and agreement of final accounts; Subcontractor Management Evaluate sub-contractor commitments prior to appointment; Monitor and ensure sub-contractor compliance documentation are valid and updated; Updating and maintaining sub-contractor document compliance register; Co-ordinate, finalize and communicate with all relevant stakeholders the annual payment cycle for subcontractors; Ensure timeous submission of sub-contractor claimables in line with the sub-contractor payment cycle; Ensure sub-contractor payment certificates are sent timeously, in line with sub-contractor payment cycles; Assist the finance department with receiving invoices from sub-contractors and confirm that all sub-contractor payments are loaded on the pay list on due dates; Ensure all quantities are issued accurately and correctly to the corresponding accounts; Updating and maintaining of the sub-contractor retention register. Other: Mentoring and assisting in the upskilling of Junior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial/Quantity Surveying Assistants.
