As a Senior Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and providing expert guidance on regulatory matters.
Duties and responsibilities include:- Develop and implement regulatory strategies to support the successful registration and approval of products in domestic and international markets.
- Guide the management team with engagements in line with the financial services sector regulators such as the Information Regulator, BBBEE Commissioner, Competition Law Commissioner.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and changes in legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, managing interactions and communications effectively.
- Conduct regulatory risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Review and approve labelling, advertising, and promotional materials for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in regulatory affairs and compliance.
- Lead and mentor junior regulatory affairs staff, providing training and support as needed.
Requirements:- LLB/ Post graduate qualification Risk Management/ Compliance or equivalent
- Admitted attorney (advantageous)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial services industry
- FAIS license and legal entity reporting (advantageous)
- Strong verbal communications and report writing skills
