We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to lead and manage all software development, maintenance, and projects. The position will be based in JHB or Cape Town. We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with a minimum of 10 years in the industry. The ideal candidate will have a broad and deep understanding of software engineering, particularly within the Microsoft tech stack. This role involves leading a team, overseeing development processes, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Lead and manage the software development team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of projects. Oversee all aspects of software development, including design, development, testing, and maintenance. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables. Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Ensure the implementation of best practices in coding, testing, and documentation. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, applying them to improve our products and processes. Tertiary educational qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. At least 10 years of experience in software development, with significant experience in a senior or lead role. Extensive experience with the Microsoft tech stack, including .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Azure. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. Proven track record of leading and mentoring development teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
