Reference: JHB001452-N-1Implementation of Baggage Operational Plan in line with the airport operations plan. Manage and monitor the end – to end baggage process to ensure availability of resources, compliance to operational processes and standard operating procedures in order to provide efficient of baggage services. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for the coordination of the Baggage Operations resources, systems and processes Analyse current and future capacity and demand and align resources. Ensure effective risk mitigation and contingency planning Ensure compliance to applicable local and international legislation and regulations, policies and Ensure the development of Baggage Operational plans, SOPs and performance standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of Baggage Operations. Implement the Baggage Operational Plan and SOPs and ensure the effective execution of all planned and unplanned activities Ensure alignment between implementation of Baggage Operational Plans and internal and external user / Stakeholder plans and requirements. Ensure that all baggage standard operating procedures are kept updated and relevant. Utilise benchmarking, surveys and data to continuously improve the baggage operation. Oversee the baggage performance and ensure that performance targets are met through close cooperation with ramp handling companies and relevant stakeholders. Ensure input into the development of maintenance planning programme and execution thereof. Conduct and ensure failure investigations and root cause analysis. Ensure effective outage scheduling. Manage the availability of the baggage system through continuous monitoring and verification. Ensure effective commissioning and testing of the baggage system and related systems supporting the baggage system. Support the procurement of assets and equipment to meet supply and demand targets. Ensure proactive operational planning to ensure supply and demand targets are met. Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree (3 years - 360 credits) Logistics, Commercial (Supply Chain) Industrial Engineering, or relevant Operations / logistics / Industrial Engineering Operational 5 years Operational Supervisory 1-2 years Annually
