Senior Travel Designer - Johannesburg
Our client, a major role-player in the Luxury Game Lodge industry is growing at a rapid rate and as a result, require an additional Senior Travel Designer.
The successful candidate will be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town and will work cohesively with a team to drive sales growth, fostering strong relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service through meticulously crafted itineraries that exceed guest expectations. You will specialize in Southern and East African destinations, ensuring seamless and unforgettable travel experiences for guests.

In order to meet the requirements of this role you must have experience in the following areas of responsibility:
- Collaborate with the internal stakeholders to assess sales potential and agent relationship development.
- Provide continuous communication and high-level service to agents, building trust and understanding of their business needs.
- Maintain updated booking preferences and habits in the booking system.
- Optimize operational efficiency to maximize guest experiences and minimize logistical challenges.
- Accurately and promptly prepare quotes, leveraging preferred products and upselling opportunities and incorporating applicable promotions and specials.
- Follow up on provisional bookings and secure these wherever possible, to enhance sales success.
- Create automated deposit invoices accurately, aligning with agent terms and minimizing exposure risk.
- Coordinate changes post-booking, ensuring seamless itinerary adjustments
- Matric certificate with Mathematics.
- Tertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism/Hospitality
- A minimum of 5years' experience in the international travel & tourism industry at an intermediate level.
- Proven track record in customer relationship management and product promotion within inbound travel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, TourPlan, WISH, or a similar booking system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in a foreign language is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and creative abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to quality and results.
- Passion for wildlife and dedication to sustainability and conservation.
- Ability to adapt to flexible work hours as per business requirements.
- Valid passport for potential travel needs.
