Senior UX/UI Designer | Johannesburg - Johannesburg

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join their team. You will design and enhance the visual and user-experience elements of digital products through research, testing, planning, and iteration. Your role will involve translating high-level requirements into interactive designs, creating attractive, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Conceptualization:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to conceptualize products and services, using Brand CI and data to drive innovative design decisions.
Customer Experience Mapping:

  • Lead the implementation of techniques such as voice of the customer initiatives, journey mapping, and qualitative touchpoint analysis to identify and address customer pain points.
  • Advise on strategies to improve customer interactions and eliminate negative experiences.

Customer Needs/Experience Research:

  • Conduct research and analyze data to gain a comprehensive understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations.

Product and Solution Development:

  • Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs, selecting the best approaches within established systems.

Internal Client Relationship Management:

  • Manage and build effective relationships with internal clients, providing high-quality professional services to support business strategies and plans.

Improvement / Innovation:

  • Identify and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures. Develop and implement change management plans with guidance from project/program managers.

Customer Experiences Implementation:

  • Support the implementation of customer experience initiatives, tools, and processes, including testing.

Personal Capability Building:

  • Act as a subject matter expert, maintaining external accreditations and staying informed on current and emerging industry best practices and regulations through professional development.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and design tools like Adobe Suite (Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop), Zeplin, Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, and Miro.

Qualifications:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent.
  • Relevant design-related qualification (degree/diploma/certificate).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of UX/UI design experience.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred.
