Senior Water Quality Scientist - South Africa

• Manage stormwater and/or drainage water quality, contaminated land, and environmental betterment projects by co-ordinating team members and subcontractors, liaising with regulators, client contacts and stakeholders.
• Lead and undertake fieldwork to collect a range of environmental data.
• Prepare and deliver site management plans, monitoring strategies and site audit reports.
• Prepare and review resource consent applications.
• Assess environmental impacts to fresh and saline waterbodies (rivers, lakes, wetlands, estuaries, tidal inlets)
• Provide technical input and develop solutions to a wide range of environmental projects.
• Provide turn-key solutions, from initial conversation to proposal, to development and successful completion.

• Extensive examples of where you have monitored, measured, and enhanced the environment through empowering people and clients to positive environmental change.
• Both experience in environmental enhancement projects and a degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Ecology, Geography or Natural Resource Management.
• Great people skills and an appetite to learn new things.
• A can-do, team-player attitude.
• Able to work for periods in remote locations, with an ability to travel within NZ
• 3-5 years consulting experience in stormwater quality, estuarine environmental interactions or trade waste chemistry
