NB: THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION We currently looking for a Server Engineer to work with developers and end users of the infrastructure that has been setup, maintain various servers which run on different operating systems Key Responsibility: Microsoft Active Directory: Manage and maintain the Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure, including user accounts, group policies, and security configurations. DNS (Domain Name System) and DHCP: Ensure the stability and reliability of DNS and DHCP services, managing IP address assignments and name resolution. TCP/IP: Troubleshoot and optimize TCP/IP network configurations to guarantee efficient data communication. Windows Server Platforms: Expertise in various Windows Server versions, including 2012, 2012R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022, ensuring proper installation, configuration, and ongoing support. Hyper-V: Administer and oversee virtualization environments using Hyper-V, maintaining virtual machines and their associated resources. System Centre (SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM, DPM): Implement and manage System Centre components for system monitoring, configuration management, and data protection. Microsoft Intune: Utilize Microsoft Intune for mobile device management and endpoint security. Backup Solutions: Implement and manage backup solutions such as NetBackup, Azure Backup, and Veeam to ensure data protection and disaster recovery readiness. Azure Integration: Integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure services and manage cloud resources effectively. Office 365: Administer and support Office 365 applications, including email, SharePoint, and Teams. Microsoft Cluster Servers: Configure and maintain high-availability clusters for critical services ATP (Advanced Threat Protection): Implement and manage ATP solutions to enhance security against advanced threats. Desktop Support: Provide support for Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and 11) and associated Office suites (2013, 2016, 365). Storage Configuration: Configure and manage storage systems, including fibre channel configurations. HPE Experience: Experience with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) technologies will be advantageous Advantageous Skills Proxy Servers: Familiarity with proxy server configurations and maintenance. IIS (Internet Information Services): Proficiency in managing IIS web server configurations. Mimecast Administration: Experience in email security and administration using Mimecast. MS Service Manager: Knowledge of Microsoft Service Manager for IT service management. SQL Server and SSIS: Familiarity with SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). SharePoint: Experience with SharePoint 2010 or later for collaboration and document management. Dynamics AX: Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AX for enterprise resource planning. Powershell: Proficiency in scripting and automation using Powershell. VeeamOne: Experience with VeeamOne for monitoring and reporting Apply Now
