Key requirements- Engineering qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Marine experience is essential
- Computer literate and capable of producing professional service reports
Key responsibilities- Ensure that all work is carried out according to the manufacturer's procedures and specifications by utilization of manufacturer's instruction manuals and relevant technical drawings: dismantling of equipment, machinery and components
- Readying components for inspection and calibration
- Performing/assisting with inspection and calibration, balancing of equipment and recording calibrated data for incorporation into repair reports
- Identifying any worn or malfunctioning components and marking them for replacement
- Assembling equipment, machinery and components upon receipt of replacement parts and conducts final inspection and testing
- Assist with root cause investigation of failed equipment
- Record all calibrations, deviation from specifications, spare parts utilization
- The removal and installation of fuel pumps and injectors on all engines
- Perform welding and basic fabrication tasks on equipment where required
- Ensure that all activities are in accordance with regulation and policies, code of conduct and applicable law
- Ensure that health and safety requirements are met and adhered to at all times
