MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:- Minimum of 5+ years experience as Dealership Service Manager in a high-volume dealership.
- Senior Certificate.
- Valid South African Drivers License.
- Ability to manage total financial and budgeting aspect of the department.
- Fluent in both Afrikaans and English.

- Meet manufacturer's technical performance and operational guidelines.

- Support frontline staff during peak hours for customer relationship building.
- Assist with repair explanations to customers when required.
- Distribute repair orders to appropriate technicians based on skill and priority.
- Assist technicians with difficult diagnoses.
- Monitor work progress to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate time-keeping records for technicians.
- Conduct quality control inspections.
- Keep frontline staff informed of delays and additional work found.
- Review and approve service invoices and credit notes.
- Oversee warranty and goodwill cases.
- Establish and implement a service reminder system.
- Set yearly technical staff training targets.
- Cultivate business relationships with retail and fleet customers.
- Develop marketing strategies for new business acquisition.
- Analyse market competitors, conditions, and campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators.
- Ensure franchisor facility standards are maintained.
- Set and monitor service performance targets.
- Monitor and act on customer satisfaction reports and trends.
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Act as a mentor to apprentices and trainees.
- Attend new model training courses and conduct in-house training.
- Lead, control, and motivate service technicians.
- Conduct regular technician meetings.
- Monitor service shop environmental and safety issues.
- Maintain regular contact with franchisor after-sales and technical staff.
- Meet with Dealer Principal and frontline managers regularly.
- Formulate and implement service department promotions.
- Monitor staff attendance and process leave applications.
- Complete and submit staff incentive claims.
- Allocate cost centres and authorize sublet and material buy-out invoices.
- Review and discuss warranty register reports with Dealer Principal.
- Manage outstanding cash sales and work-in-progress reports.
