Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a SHEQ Chief Safety Officer to join their team. The role involves overseeing the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) functions within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing SHEQ policies, procedures, and initiatives, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. If you have a strong background in safety, health, environment, and quality management in the mining industry, we want to hear from you Responsibilities Develop and implement SHEQ policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the organization's SHEQ management systems. Identify and evaluate risks and hazards, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor and report on SHEQ performance indicators. Provide training and support to employees on safety, health, environmental, and quality matters. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Requirements Relevant Degree or National Diploma in Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, or a related field. Trade Test Certificate or Blasting Certificate. At least 5 years of experience as a SHEQ Officer in the mining industry. 2 Years of experience as a Chief Safety Officer in the Mining industry. Strong knowledge of applicable safety, health, environment, and quality regulations and standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience in conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions. Ability to analyze data and identify trends and areas for improvement. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
