Diplomat South Africa is looking to fill the role of Shift Manager in the Warehouse Department to be based in Gauteng, Meadowdale . This position will report to the Warehouse Manager. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all functions (Receiving, Storage and Dispatch operations) are carried out in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures for the company. Daily Stock control (FIFO) together with stock accountability. Conducting daily/weekly/monthly stock counts. A full understanding of a warehousing operation and the day to day running thereof. Manage warehouse operation with regards to Forklift Drivers, Pickers and Loaders. Management of all Warehouse MHE including daily inspections and breakdowns. Manage staff leave and timesheets as per the TGO and ESS systems. Management of all relevant HSE requirements in the Warehouse. Maximizing vehicle utilization and booking of special deliveries. Daily control of nominated delivery days and loading of stock. Maintaining quality standards for products and operation. Ensure staff is rostered as per operational requirements. Ensuring productivity is achieved. Accurate reporting of daily KPI's. Planning deliveries regionally. People management. Time keeping. Position Requirements: Completed Matric or equivalent accredited by SAQA. A relevant tertiary qualification. 3-7 years' experience in the logistics environment under the FMCG banner. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience. A clear understanding of and working experience of IT systems (ERP systems ,WMS packages etc.). SAP systems knowledge would be an added advantage. Must have been involved in shift work operations and willing to work day/night shifts rotation and overtime. Experience in managing a set budget in the warehouse with ability to control the running expenses. A good understanding of housekeeping standards to be able to run a tidy and clean operation. A hands-on operator with strong attention to detail skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
