A vacancy exists at Mpact Paper – Divisional Office in the Logistics De partment for which applications are invited from candidates who meet the outlined requirements: Shipping the monthly forecasted volume for export in accordance with contracts/conditions of affreightment within agreed timeframe as per customer or agent requirements. Coordinating, administering and updating shipping documentation and systems (Shipping lines systems, SAP or similar ERP system, JDE, OTC, TPT NAVIS, Cargowise). Arrange inspections with the various inspection companies for export orders that require pre-shipment inspections and obtain the required COC upon completion. Planning of empty and full containers, including management of depots and transporters. Ensures process controls and container management for both in & outbound shipments. Ensuring detailed Root Cause Analysis done for Demurrage and Detention charges and report on same for both import and export movements. Ensure shipping queries (PO's and Charges) are attended too timeously and resolved within month of query for imports & exports. Supplying shipping input into departmental plans and issuing data on a regular basis for management reporting. Updating systems and procedures in-line with policy and statutory requirements. Build effective partnerships with shipping lines and logistics partners. Manage Transporter POD's for FCL's stacked at Port and empties turned into nominated depots. Attend to Customer Complaints, Supplier documentation issues, Customs requirements, etc. Export Invoice Administration, Import administrative queries, General and other duties. Matric with Maths (Maths Literacy will not be accepted). Completed Degree or National Diploma in Shipping & Logistics /Maritime or studying towards same. Minimum of 3 years shipping experience (imports/exports) is essential, Clearing & Forwarding, Customs background, experience within a manufacturing environment will be advantageous, English proficient with excellent written and oral communication skills. Computer proficiency in MS Office is essential, Strong knowledge of JDE E1, and other ERP systems like Qlikview & Mercury. Must be attentive to detail.
