Shipping Manager (Procurement) - - Johannesburg

Our client has an opportunity available for a Shipping Manager (Procurement). Requirements: Matric or RPL. Relevant degree in Supply Chain or Logistics. 6-month certificate in clearing and forwarding. Knowledge: Importation logistics. Import and customs regulations. ACC PAC. MS Office (advance excel). Blue link or Investec Import solutions would be advantageous. Import Tracking Software. Advanced Arithmetic. Product Knowledge. Responsibilities: Calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of the merchandise to be imported from foreign destinations. Monitor and complete paperwork and monetary transactions associated with international imports. Receive stock onto ACC PAC. Ensure all pricing structures are updated according to new exchange rates. Ensure that the shipment adheres to customs regulations and coordinate with shipping and customs agents for clearance on delivery. Deal with quotes from prospective shippers. Handle claims with insurance companies if any shipment problems happen to occur. Provide efficient delivery logistics information through data management. Compute international fees for each shipment and keep track of shipment payments. Adhere to specified standards, policies, practices and procedures. Take personal responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of the assigned workspace. Act as a third-party service provider for customers. Submit a weekly goods and transit report to management. Ensure that the customers goods are delivered using the correct mode of transport. Keep updated with the exchange rates inform CFO accordingly. Apply Now
