Responsible for pre-sale technical support activities of South African railway signal system, including the preparation of technical bidding documents; Responsible for engineering design liaison, preparation of system design documents, engineering design including construction drawing design. Responsible for the interface design with external systems; Responsible for the construction and testing technical support; Responsible for site Validation and Guidance for T&C; Responsible for retrofitting existing signaling systems to update them, either in response to regulations or to improve efficiency and performance; Perform and execute the test and commissioning tasks according to the test plan and test procedures. Record faults and report any defects or deviations from the specification. Troubleshooting and fault finding of electronic equipment faults, wiring error and crimping error, etc. Fault find electronic systems and report back results and any systemic issues Ensure that "Best Practice" is adopted and that quality of workmanship is always maintained to the highest possible standards. Study job specifications to determine appropriate Testing and Commissioning methodology Complete other tasks normally and reasonably arranged by the company and the project. Degree or BTech (Electrical or Electronics). Experience within the Rail Environment Registered with ECSA/SACPQSP as a Professional. 3 years of experience in signal engineering or a related field Strong knowledge of signal engineering principles and practices Experience with signal simulation software and testing equipment Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong communication and project management skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
