Site Foreman - Durban

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Site Foreman to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent will ensure that there is compliance with all policies, procedures and strict adherence to internal controls. Ensure daily, weekly and monthly reporting is submitted accurately and timeously and contains appropriate content to enable effective decision making. Ensure maintenance and upkeep of the companys machinery using the most cost efficient maintenance processes. Complete all ad-hoc tasks as requested by Management from time to time. Ensuring that quality control and time management is kept at all times, reporting and keeping management informed if any issues arise during production and installation. Provide a support role to the Signage team.

Minimum requirements:

  • 2 years signage experience
  • Valid Code 10 license with PDP

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge of welding
  • Knowledge of vinyl and general signage
  • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Handling of all signs and installation.
  • Assist with sign fabrication.
  • Upkeep of Warehouse and factory.
  • Stock take and record of all tools.
  • Large format material installation.
  • Making sure production of all signage is completed and installed timeously.
  • Ensure most efficient maintenance and planning solutions to minimize the companys internal cost and company downtime.
  • Ensure the Signage operations team are informed of all activities relating to the Signage department.
  • Active accurate reporting.
  • Supervision of Manufacturing and Fabrication of signage and point of sale.
  • Client Relationship Management - liaising with customers on/off site.
  • Provide a support role to the Signage team on and off site.
  • Performance management tracking.
  • Ensure that all work, templates, etc. are logically saved monthly and yearly, so that any enquiries, investigations, or audits can be conducted independently.
  • Develop formula-linked, high-quality work/templates/workbooks/financial models that are accurate, logical, succinct, easy to follow, and easily understandable.
  • Ensure the above (final version) and other documents are chronologically saved/backed up.
  • Ensure measures are put in place and steps are taken to achieve the short term, medium term and long-term goals of the company.
  • Adhoc functions/duties.

People:

  • Performance must be tracked by yourself and the onus is placed on you to set-up performance review meetings with the Installations Manager.

Compliance, risk and quality:

  • 100% compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • 100% compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure logical saving of all work, templates, etc. monthly and yearly such that each years financial records can stand on its own when enquiries/ investigations/audits take place.
  • Produce high quality, neat, logical, succinct, easy to follow, easy to understand, formula linked work/templates/workbooks/financial models - of which is substantiated by facts with no numbers in the formulas.
  • Ensure the above (final version) and other documents are chronologically saved/backed up.

Growth and new markets/products:

  • Assist with projects as directed from time to time.
  • Ensure measures are put in place and steps are taken to achieve the short term, medium term and long-term goals of the company.
