Main functions: Managing of complete generator project including: Rebuilding of engines Positioning of generators Fuel system Cable support Cable installation Fire prevention system Technical Support Site Support Commissioning Documentation and handover Key Responsibilities: Engineering The design was done by others, engineering will involve the construction and commissioning as per design and addressing of shortfall and outstanding issues. Ensure that the discipline designs are carried out in accordance with client standards and specifications, industry standards and the relevant legislation (quality of design). Provide design interface between disciplines. Provide engineering support to the site team. Perform commissioning of the complete power plant. Manage the mark-up and back draughting of redline drawings Operational Management Ensure that relevant project procedures are complied with. Ensure that reports are structured, accurate, complete, and well presented. Display proactive communication with project team with respect to discipline interface and problem solving. Display effective management of time. Ensure proper change management procedure is adhered to. Client Relations Ensures that all interactions with Clients are conducted in professional and respectful manner. Ensures that Clients are kept informed and up to date on status of project technical aspects. Liaises and co-ordinates with the client’s discipline engineers to ensure adherence to project and client requirements and specifications.
