Job Specification: Site Manager

Location: Stellenbosch Region, Western Cape

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Site Manager with exceptional organization and project management capabilities for the construction of multiple luxury houses simultaneously on an upmarket Estate in the Boland region.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in a similar role, overseeing the construction of more than 3 luxury, upmarket houses simultaneously.
  • A tertiary qualification in Construction will be advantageous.

Technical Expertise:

  • In-depth construction knowledge encompassing wetworks, setting-out, finishes, construction specifications, and proficient reading of plans.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients, architects, and subcontractors.

Organization and Management:

  • Exceptional organizational abilities with a proven track record of managing multiple projects to meet deadlines for each phase of construction.
  • Diligent and accountable in all aspects of project management.

Quality and Attention to Detail:

  • Demonstrated commitment to high work standards and meticulous attention to detail.

Career Stability:

  • A stable career history demonstrating consistent dedication and commitment to the construction field.

Duties include (but not limited to):

  1. Project Time Management and Planning: Efficiently plan and manage project timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines for each construction phase.
  2. Material and Plant Management: Oversee procurement, delivery, and utilization of materials and equipment essential for construction activities.
  3. Quality Control and Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet established standards and specifications.
  4. Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate human and material resources to optimize productivity and efficiency on construction sites.
  5. Cost and Budget Control: Exercise prudent financial management by controlling costs and adhering to project budgets.
