Canyon Protection Services would like to recruit a Site Assistant who will be assisting with the daily operation within the site with and without the presence of the Site Manager whom he/she will be reporting to. Requirements Must be able to speak, read and write English and fluently. Must have a valid driver's license with own reliable transport. Must have No Criminal Record or pending cases. Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime when required. Must be available on a 24-hour standby basis. Good time management. Articulate and able to communicate on all level. Planning & Organisational skills. Disciplined and Good Anger Management Excellent Listening Skills and Attention to detail. Duties & Reponsibilities Maintaining good relations between company and the client about security services rendered. Ensuring the posting of Security Officers is done timeously. Ensuring that all Security Officers meet contractual requirements as stipulated by the client. Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the client regarding the improvement of services. General management and supervision of security staff Ensuring that all HR related queries are dealt with promptly. Advertising new posts if requested by the site manager. Ensure that each staff member reports on duty on site and completes the Occurrence Book. Report and investigate incidents. Attending meetings with management and with the client. Compile weekly, monthly, and annual site incident reports. Ensure that side operation is performed in accordance with the SOP's and job description. Continuously identifies areas of high-risk exposure and implements improved risk control/security measures and implement methods/procedures to counteract. Reviews, plans, motivate, organise, and monitor the training of security staff. Submits a monthly written risk control/security report to the Manager. Qualification & Experience At least 5 years' experience in a similar position. Must have mining experience in security. SAPS experience/background will be an advantage. Must have a firearm competency – Handgun. Must be familiar with all legislation relating to the position. Good interpersonal skills in order to liaise with client, community, SAPS and outside stakeholders. Experience in crowd/strike control Grade 12 with PSIRA B Grade certificate. Advanced driving experince. First Aid and Firefighting experience advantageous. Salary - Market Related
