The successful candidate will be required to have:
- Health and Safety certification
- Higher education in construction management
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Have 3 years work experience as a contracts manager specifically in the construction industry
Responsibilities and Skills of Position:
- Overseeing and coordinating projects from the planning to the completion of project
- Ensuring all assigned projects are complete within budget and deadline dates
- Supervising teams and sub contractors to ensure optimal efficiency and high quality service at all times
- Inspecting assigned sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
- Supervising and instructing teams as well as subcontractors on each site
- Attend site meetings
- Assisting with ordering and obtaining supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance and managing employees
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills
- Must have excellent organisational and planning skills
- Must be able to interpret engineering plans and drawings
