Job Description

We are in search of a talented Front of House Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a Front of House Employee at our safari lodge, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, providing lodge welcomes and orientation, handling inquiries, and assisting with various guest services to uphold our lodges reputation for excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting guests upon arrival with warmth and professionalism, providing a positive first impression of the lodge.
  • Handling guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring accuracy in reservation details and payment processing.
  • Assisting guests with inquiries, requests, and special arrangements, offering personalized recommendations for activities and amenities.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area, including the lobby and reception area, to create a welcoming environment for guests.
  • Managing room assignments; ensure rooms are ready for guest check-ins and room checks are done.
  • Coordinating with other lodge departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to fulfill guest requests and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Providing information about lodge facilities, services, and nearby attractions, promoting engagement and enhancing the guest experience.
  • Handling guest feedback and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and processing payments if needed.
  • Adhering to lodge policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols, to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Bar service, table service and general hosting responsibilities.
  • Working closely with chef, coordinating meal times and preferences for clients.

Qualifications

Hospitality related qualification.

Skills

The successful candidate must have:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to problem-solve and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills required.
  • Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Benefits

The positions are live in, preferred leave cycle is 3 weeks on 1 week off. If they are a strong candidate, out of province and fits well with our team we would be happy to consider 6 week on 2 week off.
