Qualifications & Requirements:- Finance Degree would be a big advantage.
- Introduces and maintains systems and procedures aimed at ensuring efficiency.
- Responsibilities include all aspects of pay administration including preparation, documentation and disbursement of all payroll payments, payroll taxes.
- Responsibilities may include administration of employee benefit programs.
- Extensive SAP knowledge will be beneficial (NOT Hana).
- Strong Financial background.
- Extensive Payroll Tax knowledge.
Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management:- Ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll disbursements and payments to creditors.
- Manage the payroll function of a minimum of 400 staff members.
- Collaborate with HR to implement and align sophisticated payroll and benefits systems.
- Maintain and update payroll systems to reflect the current employee base, salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Review and analyze payroll, benefits, and tax procedures to recommend best practices and ensure legislative compliance.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors and statutory authorities.
- Develop and update payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with HR policies.
- Oversee payroll record retention and reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts.
Payroll Processing:- Calculate and process monthly payroll changes including payments for new appointments, promotions, and various allowances.
- Manage deductions, fringe benefits, and annual salary increases.
- Run monthly payroll cycles and distribute payslips.
- Address payroll-related queries promptly.
Payroll Administration:- Prepare monthly and annual payroll reports, including statutory returns and director emoluments declarations.
- Assist HR with employment equity and audit reports.
- Manage Provident fund schedules and submissions.
Payroll Payments:- Process net pay payments and manage third-party payroll payments.
- Handle ad hoc employee payments and ensure proper documentation.
Financial Administration:- Reconcile payroll provisions and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in compiling the personnel budget.
General Tasks:- Support HR in recruitment cost calculations and travel allowance compliance.
- Maintain accurate time-sheet records and filing systems.
