This role offers an opportunity for significant growth within the sales team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, conducting executive-level sales engagements, understanding customer needs through consultative selling, and collaborating with the technical support team to demonstrate competitive advantages.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Sales and/or Marketing
- 8-10 years of sales experience in the commercial sales sector.
- Infrastructure software sales experience would be advantageous
- Experience selling software products to Government, Municipalities and Senior Engineers
- Technology savvy - Proven proficiency in the use of software packages such as the MS Office platform and web-based CRM tools
- Experience in new business selling (cold calling / opening new doors)
- Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills for closing deals
- Ability to explain product features and benefits in a way that stands out over competing brands
- Ability to work under pressure and devise sales strategies
- Good networking skills and the ability to handle numerous client companies
- Code 8 driver's licence with own transport.
- Willing to travel away from home for at least two weeks a month.
