CORPORATE SERVICES ● INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY (IS&T) CAR SOLUTION ARCHITECT: EDGE CAR PROGRAMME FIVE-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1 330 547 TO R1 681 769 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: CS 68/24 The City of Cape Town is currently embarking on a ten-year digital transformation journey, looking to replace the City's ageing IT assets to move the City into the Digital Age, create the Digital Default, and future-proof the City for the next 20 years. The incumbent in this role will need to bring their knowledge and experience and provide quality assurance from a solutioning and technical architecture perspective to ensure fit for-purpose technical specifications and implementations in accordance with the City's business requirements and best-of-breed processes. The Edge Solutions Architect will work with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other Technical Specialists across all domains, as well as engage extensively with stakeholders across all Directorates. Requirements: A minimum B degree or B Tech A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in Enterprise Architecture/ Solutions Architecture across all architecture domains and experience in Governance. Key performance areas: Identify Edge technologies and productivity toolsets needed Develop as-is and to-be architecture diagrams Approve and sign off on technology roadmaps across Edge domains Provide guidance and ensure alignment with IS&T governance, standards and policies Determine the detailed scope for the Edge applications Identify all interdependencies in relation to Edge and ensure that these are sufficiently catered for as part of the technical specs Develop the technical specifications required for the Edge tenders Input and sign off on applications and integration requirements Provide leadership in resolving complex issues that impact operational landscape environment Provide thought leadership, best practices and knowledge capital related to Edge solutions Manage, coordinate and implement the key performance areas of subordinates in order to implement policies, procedures, systems and processes.
