Junior Architect
Min:
- At least 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience within systems development
Ideal:
- At least 1 – 2 years’ experience in systems architecture / design
Architect
Min:
- At least 2 - 7 experience
Senior Architect
Min:
- At least 7 years’ experience in systems architecture / design
- Basic project management experience
Qualifications (Minimum)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- A relevant post graduate degree
Knowledge
Must have detailed knowledge of:
- System architecture (technical design and implementation processes)
- Systems analysis and design
- UML or equivalent modelling language
- Technical Test Plan Design
- IT systems development processes
- Application development
- Standards and governance
Technical knowledge:
- Proficiency in architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Experience with microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Proficiency in software development methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards.
- In-depth knowledge of domain driven design and applying it to solving real world business problems
