Out client is seeking a talented and experienced Solution Architect to join their team and play a critical role in designing and shaping the technology landscape for their financial services platform. As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for creating the architectural vision and ensuring the technical alignment of their systems. You will work closely with product owners and development teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions. Your expertise in Azure, RESTful APIs, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), general system design, and architectural design will be essential in guiding our client’s technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities Architectural Design: Develop and maintain a holistic architectural vision for our core banking and financial services platform, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, and flexibility. System Design: Collaborate with development teams to design and implement high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions that meet business requirements. Azure Expertise: Leverage your deep knowledge of Azure cloud services to design and implement cloud-based solutions that are efficient, resilient, and cost-effective. RESTful APIs: Design and implement RESTful APIs that allow seamless integration with external systems and partners. Strong Design Principles: Apply best practices in software design, ensuring that solutions are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with industry standards. Collaboration: Work closely with product owners to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful implementation. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, providing clear guidelines for development teams and other stakeholders in Confluence. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and provide recommendations for technology upgrades and improvements. Requirements: Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a strong track record of designing and delivering complex, scalable solutions. Expertise in Azure cloud services, RESTful APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of system design and architectural principles. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non[1]technical stakeholders. Prior experience working with product owners and development teams in an Agile environment. Qualification and Experience Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, Information systems, or relevant tertiary qualification. Optional - TOGAF Optional – GoogleAzureAWS Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification. Communication skills (written and verbal) in English. Interpersonal / Relationship management skills Influencing, Facilitation and Presentation skills Analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills coupled with Business acumen Process and organizational thinking and attention to detail. Adaptability to change, willingness to take ownership and accountability. Planning and organizing skills. Ability to work under own initiative without guidance, cope well under sustained pressure and deliver to deadlines. Ability to deal with multiple projects at the same time.
