A multinational corporation headquartered in Cape Town, specializing in lithium batteries for cellphone towers, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join their team. The primary objective of this role is to facilitate sourcing activities specific to the South African site, including identifying, engaging, nurturing, and assessing suppliers and opportunities related to quality, supply, and cost efficiency. The Sourcing Specialist will serve as the key liaison between suppliers, manufacturing teams, and engineers, ensuring smooth commercial interactions.

- Degree in Engineering or relevant area
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 5+ years experience in Sourcing, Commercial and Procurement services area within technical industry
- Supporting sourcing activities at the South African site, including identifying, developing, and validating suppliers and opportunities to improve quality, supply, and cost savings.
- Responsible for sourcing process delivery for African based sub supply chain objectives and South African based operations
- Act as the commercial interface between suppliers, manufacturing, and engineers
- Analyse, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers on quality, cost and lead time to maximize the benefit for the company
