Responsibilities The Bottle Blower Technician manages, and maintains the bottle blowing machine and deliver requirements in the right quality and quantity and in a safe manner Strong bottle blowing experience Strong electrical and instrumentation fault finding abilities Set programmable logical circuits (PLC's) Ability to read electrical drawings Service, maintain and dismantled machinery or equipment Assembled, installed and aligned equipment and machinery Repair electrical circuitry and components Test units to evaluate electrical & mechanical operations Add and update SCADA interface with PLC systems (where needed) Experience on change overs He/she is responsible for organizing workflow and takes responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, and performance on the line Shift work and occasional standby Able to work OT if required This post is not restricted to the bottle blower only. All other machines on the line also needs to be attended to. Qualifications Five to Six years relevant experience within the FMCG environment Technical Trade or NTC Red Seal Electrician Certificate, will be an advantage Adhere to safety, health, quality and standard operating procedures Comply and adhere to quality systems (GMP, HACCP,) Monitor and ensure that all required documentation is completed as per standard Continually seek to identify opportunities for cost saving and more effective ways of carrying out production activities Manage equipment and material inventory Analyse performance and seeks ways to continually improve Performs autonomous, routine, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on the blower and always ensures machine availability Previous work experience in a standard aseptic bottling line with rotary blower very necessary Ability to manage situations and motivate all stakeholders at all times Food quality experience relating to processing, packaging, storage and logistic Good moral, communication and organization skills to follow through with quality, engineering team Self-motivating with active will to achieving set goals and promoting strong team spirit within the organization Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to interface with internal employees and to accurately document, report and present "PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act" Apply Now
