Job description: Atlas Copco Secoroc is looking for Welders in the Drill Pipe Plant. Major tasks of the job: Welding of Drill Pipes and drill pipe components. ·Welding of Hard-facing. ·Ability to read and work according to engineering drawings. ·Ability to read measuring equipment. ·Adherence to welding specification procedures Experience requirements: ·Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the manufacturing environment as CO2 welder. Submerged Arc welding experience will be an added advantage Knowledge: ·Welding of Drill pipe components or piping will be an added advantage. Educational requirements: ·Minimum Grade 12 / Standard 10 ·Relevant Trade Papers (Welding). Personality requirements: ·Effective verbal and written communication skills ·Good interpersonal skills ·Strong work ethic ·Self starter and a team player ·Ability to work without constant supervision ·Enthusiastic and energetic.
