Our client is eagerly hunting for a Statutory Accounting and Control Manager in Midrand, seeking a financial Sherlock Holmes with a knack for deciphering IFRS mysteries and crafting tales of impeccable reporting prowess. Duties: Review the month-end trial balance. Review financial analyses as input into the monthly submission to Group Office on the statutory reporting platform. Draft, review and provide input into specialised notes in the annual financial statements for entities in the SA statutory group structure, to provide context and completeness to the financial statements. Facilitate the implementation and coordinating of all activities associated with any accounting standard changes. Review monthly General Ledger (GL) reconciliations. Consolidate input and draft the annual budget. Qualifications: BCom Honours degree in Accounting or Financial Management. Chartered Accountant of South Africa (CA(SA)). Big 4 articles completed. 6-8 years post articles experience in financial management. Experience in statutory reporting and financial statement preparation would be advantageous.
