Company Company supplies a variety of industrial gases for various applications including LPG, helium, carbonation, welding, dry ice, calibration gas and saturation diving. They supply multiple sizes of gas cylinders and many come complete with an integrated high-pressure regulator or manifold Purpose Stores Controllers oversee stores personnel and ensure that the production department receives the supplies needed to produce the company's products. They approve the purchasing of more stock where the supply is low, compile stock reports, and keep stores personnel informed of the materials and products that need to be issued. Stores Controllers also assess the performance of stores personnel. Stores Controllers must be extremely good at paying attention to detail as mistakes when counting stock have a massive impact on how effectively a business is managed. Responsibilities Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices, and pricing) into internal database Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed. Track shipments and address any delays. Oversee storage of products. Evaluate suppliers' offers and negotiate profitable deals. Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products' quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions). Keep updated inventory records. Perform regular stock counts at branches Requirements A National Diploma in Inventory and Stores Management, Warehouse Management, Logistics Management, or Supply Chain Management is highly recommended Grade 12 3-5 years experience in a stock control or warehouse role R18 000 Cost to company Per Month
