Stock Controller required for an animal food manufacturer in the Free State. Duties include but not limited to Management of staff to ensure that inspections and samples are done according to quality monitoring procedures. Management of all assets under control of the position including buildings, vehicles and equipment. Co-ordination of the off-loading schedule of Raw Material loads. Booking of all raw material loads on the production system to ensure prompt and effective off-loading of all raw material stock and minimize the turn 'around time of each truck that enters the premises. Timeous ordering of stock considering lead times, stock days and expected sales received from marketing team. Adherence to FIFO and Stacking and Storage regulations. Manage housekeeping on a world class level. Continuous liaison with internal and external departments to ensure proper planning and in doing so save cost on raw materials. Assisting with weekend duty on a rotational basis. Manage all fumigation and disinfection protocols of raw materials. Taking ownership of all stock under control of the position in all storage areas were raw materials are stored. Daily stock counts on raw materials and additives to ensure that there are no "out-of-stock" situations and for the important role balancing of stock plays in the quality of final products. Taking control of all used raw material packaging stock ensuring that the company recover most of the packaging cost being charged for. Proper management of all liquid raw materials and the storage facility it is stored in, seeing to it that regular cleanouts are performed. Managing all bunkers and silos on an empty to empty basis while ensuring that silos and bunkers are cleaned on a regular basis. Management of vehicle movement in and out of the premises by making use of video footage and the reconciliation of that with all other records of vehicle movement, to enable the finance and administration department to ensure that all final product dispatched are invoiced and all raw materials received are captured on the financial system. Minimum requirements Grade 12 (NQF4) At least 5-years proven work experience within the FMCG environment Animal Feed mill experience will be advantageous Ability to function independently as well as in a team Ability to identify and solve problems Communication skills and good people relations in the workplace Ability to work under pressure and extended hours Desired Skills: Stock Control Stock Taking Stock Management Apply Now
