Our company is a leading wholesaler of aluminium profiles/systems, glass and accessories to the window, facade and door manufacturing industry. We are currently recruiting for a capable Stock Controller to be based at our Distribution Centre in Wynberg, Gauteng. The core purpose of the role is to ensure the effective stock control of goods according to company standards. Key Performance Areas: Inventory Management Stock Control Stock analysis Administration General The main duties and responsibilities under each Key Performance Area: Stock Control Ensure stock control and reconcile with data storage system. Ensure all stock are quality checked and binned correctly and timeously. Ensure all bins required to be counted for the day are closed off on same day on SAGE. Ensure all bins are counted in full by month end. Ensure all stock discrepancies are investigated and communicated to Operations Supervisor and Warehouse Manager. Ensure all bins are used effectively, marked correctly and product codes displayed on correct location. Ensure stock takes are conducted. Conduct additional counts of stock as required. Ensure effective housekeeping in stock holding area at all times. Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock. Coordinating internal stock transfers. Overseeing stock storage process which will include tagging and labelling. Administration Ensure data systems are accurate and updated at all times. Ensure stock journals are completed on SAGE. Pull stock valuation reports from SAGE and ensure all stock are allocated to bins on SAGE. Maintain stock control systems and ensure sufficient stock availability at all times. Provide stock reports as required. General Maintain standards of health, safety and hygiene. Assist in the warehouse as may be required by the needs of the company. Minimum Qualifications: Grade 12 / NQF 4. Advantageous: Diploma in Warehouse Management or Stock Control. Minimum Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar position. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a warehousing environment. Advantageous: Experience in the aluminium profiles, -systems and –accessories environment or similar. Skill Requirements: Proficient in SAGE / Pastel Partner at an intermediate level. Proficient in MS Excel at an intermediate level. Proficient in operational principles related to stock. Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage stock investigations effectively. Strong organisational skills. Additional requirements: Due to the nature of the position, must be able to work outside the normal working hours. Between R18 000 and R20 000 p/m - depending on experience and understanding of the industry
