Store Manager (Electrical) - South Africa

Position: Store Manager Company: Electrical wholesalers Job Description: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee the efficient operation of the store. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, a strong understanding of inventory management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Inventory Management : Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely replenishment of products. Order Processing : Process incoming and outgoing orders promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Supervision : Lead and motivate store staff, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and adherence to standards. Customer Service : Foster a customer-centric environment, resolving inquiries and issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Safety Compliance : Uphold safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers. Vendor Relations : Liaise with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms, resolve disputes, and maintain positive relationships. Store Maintenance : Oversee the cleanliness and organisation of the store, ensuring a visually appealing and functional retail space. Reporting : Generate reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics, providing insights to inform strategic decision-making. Training and Development : Conduct training sessions for store staff to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational efficiency. Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, particularly regarding safety, security, and product handling. Requirements: Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the electrical industry. Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Organisational Skills : Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Customer Focus : Dedication to providing exceptional customer service, with a keen understanding of customer needs and expectations. Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with electrical products and terminology, enabling effective communication with customers and suppliers. Computer Literacy : Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with inventory management software. Problem-Solving Abilities : Ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement effective solutions. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with customers, staff, and suppliers.
