ABOUT MAMATWAN: The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country's Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our open-cut Mamatwan mine which started operating more than half a century ago. ABOUT THE ROLE: This role is a permanent full-time position. As a Supervisor Maintenance Mechanical , The purpose of this role is to supervise and assist the team in the safe and cost-effective execution of all Mechanical maintenance work. Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: • Maintain health, safety and housekeeping within the internal environment; • Conduct investigations into workplace incidents; • Participate in the planning, development, • Implementation and review of Equipment Strategies; • Sets goals for maintenance improvement through establishing KPI's; • Optimizes and manages condition monitoring activities and processes; • Conducts critical spares analysis; • Monitors and quantifies reliability cost savings and equipment life cycle costs; • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of hydraulics, crushers, pumps, screens, conveyors and various plant equipment. Knowledge in pyrometallurgical systems such as furnaces, sintering equipment, bucket conveyors, ID fan systems ad rail bound equipment, will be advantageous; • Maintain and ensure all dust management systems on site, ensuring general compliance to the AEL (air emissions license); • Actively manage all contractors on site related to mechanical work, ensuring the onboarding and safe delivery of work. ABOUT YOU: You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance environment; • Must have at least 1 year experience in a supervisor capacity. Qualifications for this role are: • N3 Technical Certificate; • Valid Trade Test; • Valid driver's licence.
