Supervisor: Production Division (Weir Minerals HBF) Port Elizabeth Onsite/Shift Purpose of Role: To ensure that production is maintained within budget and to specifications and in accordance with the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Operate machines / equipment in accordance with safe work instructions. Adhere to safety and housekeeping as per company procedures and OHS Act requirements including its associated regulations. Production: Daily scheduling of production activities for maximizing production, quality / output KPI’s and on time deliveries. Production: Report any and all delays in achieving daily targets, machine breakdowns and deliveries and take action where targets are not met. Production: Ensuring schedule adherence is consistently above 95%. Management: Performance manage those subordinates that do not meet the targets. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Relevant National Diploma or one - three year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
