Managed Talent Solutions, a division within Datacentrix is looking for a Supply Chain Accountant for one of their client based in Pretoria. This is a 7 months fixed term contract.Qualifications and Experience:National Diploma / B Degree Supply Chain Management / Procurement / Logistics, Purchasing /Public Administration or related field3-year supervisory experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement3-year experience as a Senior Buyer or equivalent position Experience in a research environment in general will be an added advantageProficiency in MS Office SuiteGood communication skills (written and verbal)The ability to establish and maintain working relationship with othersKnowledge of PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations, PPP2022 and other relevant legislationValid SA driver’s licenseKey Performace Areas:Manage the Procurement Function at Central Office (including amongst others, procuring goods and services, liaising with suppliers, obtaining quotations / tenders, guide in developing specifications, negotiating contracts and contract administration according to procurement policy)Cost management by applying best sourcing strategies.Act in direct support to the research functionEvaluation of quotations and tenders in terms of PFMA/PPFFA and Treasury Regulations.Manage the procurement process.Implementation of SCM policy and regulations.Source all suppliers at Central OfficePromoting procurement empowerment (BEE/HDI)Internal control compliance.Make presentations to the Bid Adjudication Committee and Corporate Tender CommitteeEnsure that the risks related to Supply Chain Management are adequately addressed.Evaluation of supplier’s performance.Attend to audit queriesGive procurement guidance to business units and management.Provide leadership to subordinates.Tender Administration.
